How to Check Battery Level of Bluetooth Devices on Mac

If you have recently bought a Bluetooth keyboard and wireless mouse then its great. You can carry Bluetooth devices along with you wherever you go and they keep your desk neat and clean. But the major drawback of these Bluetooth devices is their battery. If you are charging them regularly without fail then no issue but in case if you forget to charge them then it can be a real pain. So here in this article, I am going to show you how you can check the battery levels of the connected devices on Mac before you go out.

Step #1. First of all click on the Apple Logo and then go to System Preferences.

Step #2. Then, under System Preferences, click on Bluetooth option and check the box beside “Show Bluetooth in menu bar.”

Step #3. From the menu bar click on the Bluetooth icon and move your mouse pointer on the connected device. A window will POP-out showing battery level of the Bluetooth device.

There is one more method to see battery levels of Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. So let's check it out:

Step #1. Click on the Apple Logo and then click on System Preferences.

Step #2. Now click on Keyboard and click on first tab i.e keyboard under that you will find the battery level of the keyboard at the bottom-left corner.

Step #3. Next, if you want to check the battery level of the mouse, go back to System Preferences and click on Mouse and select Point&click tab under that you will be able to see the battery level of a mouse.

Step #1. Launch Terminal App on your Mac using Spotlight search.

Step #2. Now, Copy this code ioreg -c AppleBluetoothHIDKeyboard |grep '"BatteryPercent" ='  and paste it in the Terminal to view battery percentage of the keyboard.

Step #3. Next copy this code ioreg -c BNBMouseDevice |grep '"BatteryPercent" =' and paste it in a terminal window to check battery percentage of Bluetooth mouse.
